The latest historical adventure Chinese movie will air on theater on September 30. On May 25, 1960, a Chinese mountain climbing team successfully climbed Mount Everest for the first time. Cast and crew of the movie full of superstar: Wu Jing, Zhang Ziyi, Yi Zhang, Hu Ge, Jing Boran, Wang Jingchun, Lin He, Johnny Chen and Xiaofeng Liu.
In order to recreate the real scenery and difficult situation of the historical event the production chose to shoot in Tibet on the Mount Everest. The actors could experience the high altitude, lacking of oxygen and the difficulties that the climbing team experienced 59 years ago, make the movie more realistic and authentic.
