Due to the coronavirus outbreak, seven Chinese films canceled their Chinese new year theatrical releases and have been looking for new release. Wanda Film President Zeng Maojun revealed new info about 3 movie sequels that started to shoot before the pandemic.
The sequel of the movie "Go Brother" (快把我哥带走): Filming was started in Xiamen before the Spring Festival, and the work was stopped due to the epidemic. The shooting just recently restarted and the movie is expected to be released in the summer of 2021.
As for the progress of "Mojin: The Lost Legend 2" (寻龙诀2), Zeng Maojun said that the film will start shooting at the end of this year and is expected to be released around July/August next year.
"Detective Chinatown 3" (唐探3) is considered to be released in China on Chinese new year 2021, but the date is not set yet.
