Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi invited at the Cannes Film Festival Master Class

The 72nd Cannes International Film Festival announced the official masterclass lineup. Zhang Ziyi will be the first Asian filmmaker to be invited to take part in the masterclass activities. Every year, the Festival de Cannes invites prominent figures from the world of cinema to give “Masterclasses”. Zhang Ziyi is the first Asian filmmaker to be invited. She is also the youngest female filmmaker since the founding of the Master Class. She was also named Godmother of the Trophée Chopard 2019. As godmother, Zhang will present the award to both a male and female young actor on the rise.
